Siamak Kusha is an Executive Vice President for Ayres Associates Inc. He joined Ayres Associates' Madison, WI, office in 1986 as a Transportation Engineer after having served more than five years in a similar position at another firm. Mr. Kusha has held a variety of positions in the company’s Transportation Division including project engineer, project manager, and manager of transportation services in Madison. In 1992 he transferred to Milwaukee, WI, to open this office for the firm and was named regional vice president of the Milwaukee office in 1994. In 1996, he relocated to Tampa, FL, as the regional vice president, where he served in that capacity until appointed to the Executive Committee in August 2000.

Currently, Mr. Kusha serves as the National Transportation Leader for Ayres Associates, overseeing all transportation functions throughout the company. As a transportation engineer, project manager, and principal-in-charge, Mr. Kusha has been involved in a variety of transportation projects, including corridor planning, Project Development and Engineering (PD&E) studies and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) development, highway design, and program management for major transportation facilities in Wisconsin and Florida. He has managed and designed both urban and rural transportation facilities. Under his leadership, Ayres Associates southeast operations have grown from one to six offices in Florida and also expanded into Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Kusha is active in both civic and professional organizations. He served as president-elect of the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers; is the past chairman of the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers’ (FICE) Transportation Committee; and serves on the executive committee of the FICE board of directors. He served on the advisory council for the Hillsborough Education Foundation; served on the Tampa Chamber of Commerce Transportation and Land Use Committees; is a member of the board of directors of New Tampa YMCA; and serves on the Greater Tampa Bay United Way steering committee.

Mr. Kusha is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. He holds a B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering and his M.B.A. Degree.
