April 10, 2006 - Last week, FBT President Doug Callaway wrote every Florida Legislator asking them to use the surplus state revenue to RESTORE transportation projects that were delayed due to construction cost increases. Without more transportation dollars, Floridians and visitors will be facing:
- Longer and more frustrating traffic jams,
- More traffic accidents and fatalities, and
- Decreasing economic competitiveness.
Knowing that Legislators will be home this week in observance of the Passover and Easter holidays, NOW would be a great time to A.) e-mail, B.) write, C.) call, and/or D.) visit your Legislators and express support for this common sense idea!
