April 3, 2006 - Last week, FBT President Doug Callaway testified in support of legislation that would authorize a Local "Option" Rental Car Surcharge. This legislation would authorize county governments to seek voter support to increase their existing $2 per day Rental Car Surcharge to $4 per day and use the new revenue for local transportation improvements.
