February 13, 2006 - With the recent interest in "innovative" ideas here in Florida -- including transportation ideas -- a new publication entitled "21st Century Highways - Innovative Solutions to America's Transportation Needs" may be of interest. Published by the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., authors and subjects include John Fischer on the history of the federal highway program, Bob Poole and Ken Orski on toll roads, Shirley Ybarra on public-private partnerships, and Ron Utt on giving more responsibility to the states.
