January 2, 2006 - With the Holiday Season now over, we’re all heading back to work. Did you know that you and I are spending more hours driving to work each year than on vacation? According to the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, the average American spends 100 hours a year commuting to work - more than the 80 hours most workers take off for vacation each year! This week, FBT wrote members of the Florida Legislature to remind them that life is too short and our time too valuable to be spent stuck in traffic! That's why we encouraged them to “Keep Florida Moving!” in 2006.
